Flamingo land!

Hey there :)

Thought I'd update my blog, highlighting that my studies will now be of animal anatomy, and drawing a range of various animals. I would also like to highlight, that this Wednesday (9/10/13), I will be venturing to flamingo land as part of a univeristy trip. 

The day will consist of drawing, and studying live animals, using a wide variety of techniques. I will have my entire art equipment at hand, so I'll be ready to experiment, and venture outside of my comfort zone.

I will post my photos, and my drawings to google+, and I will also entitle a new blog on blogger. I am really excited for it :)

Blogging about the flamingo land trip, very interesting day, first a tour of the zoo, and then it was hands on time, developed several sketches, but my progress was hindered by the heavy rain. Great opportunity to see exotic animals up close, and after a multitude of photos that I took onsite, it has enabled me tocontinue  sketching them at home, and in uni.

I really enjoyed this trip, as it was the first time I tried sketching exotic animals. I did find movement difficult, similar to the live animal session that I participated in.
