Keith Brockie

Keith Brockie is a freelance illustrator who specialises in wildlife drawing. Based in Scotland. I decided to choose him for use age in my online research, because I love the finely detailed style he uses, regardless of technique, or material. and his wide range of colour. and line usage.

He was born in Haddington, Scotland in the year of 1955, and he received his artistic education from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, which he went to Dundee for. He worked for a short time as an artist working with a few Dundee museums and art galleries.

he has published several books, including his own artistic illustrations, one interesting one called "Drawn from Nature", which he released in 1995.

The image above looks like it was created using watercolours.

He was been to many countries, through the course of his illustrative work, and he has also been a part of expeditions to Greenland in the years of 1982, 1988 and 1991. He has also been to other countries, such as India and the USA.

In some of my drawings, I tried to emulate a similar style, under influence from Keith Brockie.

As you can see in the image above, I tried using watercolor paint, like in the illustration that Keith made above this one. I also tried my best to use a realistic shape of the animal, also like in the way that Keith Brockie does so. He has really inspired me in the unit.
