Live animal session

Blogging about the live animal session, that happened last week.

A very good session, an animal expert came into the uni, and displayed a wide variety of animals, such as meerkats, toads, spiders and scorpions. The animal expert had a great knowledge of them.

Some of the animals included meerkats, spiders, scorpions, a parrot, and some toads. All varying in size, speed, shape, and levels of interactivity. Perhaps one of the most difficult to draw during the session, would have been the meerkat. It's hard to sketch an animal in a static pose, when it's running around the room.

I found this live session to be very incredibly helpful, as I have rarely done something like this before. It was very aiding in terms of the study of animal anatomy. It was also better than looking at say, a static photo. With the movement of the animals, you get a sense of the motion, and so you better understand how the animal's joints are positioned.

Anyways, really enjoyed it, and I'd love to do something like that again :)
